My dad just dropped two bags of groceries — some good deals he found at Superstore (most importantly, being Welch’s grape juice frozen concentrate, on for the low, low price of $0.97 a can at Superstore. Did I ever tell you about the time I enjoyed communion so much as a child, that I went [...]

About a week ago I was looking through my Parenting magazine and saw the name Brady. I thought to myself, “Man! I like that name. Too bad Marc and I will never have a Brady.” The name “Brady” to me seems very “guy-ish”, kind of macho, cool (and reminds me of the very good looking, blonde, muscular [...]

Today marks 65 years of marriage for my mom’s parents. What can you say after 65 years of marriage? Did you know that there isn’t even a “theme” for anything after 60th (which is “diamond”)? I cannot even begin to imagine a marriage of that length (though I certainly hope for one). It really makes [...]

Well, the big celebration for my grandparent’s 65th is scheduled for tomorrow. I’ll probably post some pics of it all. I’m trying to put things together for a bit of a program for them — a few songs, a poem or two, a speech by their eldest, hopefully. I don’t know if we’ll have any [...]

This Friday is my grandparents 65th wedding anniversary. That’s right– 65th!!! We’re in the process of getting things together for this little family celebration/reunion/shin-dig and one of my responsibilities is to make a dvd of highlights from their 50th and 60th anniversary videos.
There is just nothing good about seeing yourself at the ripe old age [...]

Today’s outing in the backyard lasted about 5 minutes before I lost my patience with the kids and hauled them back in the house. I noticed my tomato plants were really wilting (I wonder why, after 3days of 30+ weather and no watering!!). So that was really my only intention for going out there.
I [...]

Alright. No baby.
Can I hear a communal “aaaawwwww…”?
Follow that with a communal “EEEEEWWWWWWWW!!!!”
So is life. That’s what we get for being too tired to stick to my conception regime.
My only dilemma for trying this month is that we would be due April 28th - smack dab in between my birthday (the 26th) [...]
