The last thing I need to start doing.

Last night, an hour or two after I fell asleep (which was about three hours after we turned the light out), I sprang out of bed and started trying to pick up something that fell near the closet.  I was struggling to find it when I heard Marc saying, “What are you doing?!”  Immediately I realized that I was trying to pick up something that I had dreamt had fallen.  So, I felt around a bit to try to figure out what I thought had fallen, and realized I couldn’t figure it out, so I crawled back into bed.  All I could remember from my dream is that my Grandpa was holding something or had something near a box and that it fell off the box and I needed to pick it up.

The dream itself doesn’t surprise me.  I have this recurring dream where there is a mess on my bedside table or on the floor next to my bed and the closet that needs to be cleaned up.  Now, there really is a mess in those places all the time, but this is some other kind of mess that needs my immediate attention and really bothers me.  Usually I just wake up suddenly or sometimes I sit up.  One time, in our old house, I actually knelt down and started rummaging through laundry on the floor by the closet; but our old master bedroom was so much smaller that it seemed like not such a big deal.  Besides this time I was actually standing there picking stuff up, and I don’t know if I was awake or sleeping.

Marc really hopes I don’t start sleepwalking.  Really, that’s the last thing I need to start doing.  Can you imagine me frantically cleaning my house in my sleep?  Actually, that sounds kind of appealing.  I used to formulate whole pages of philosphy papers in my dreams during university.  Anyway… how do I shake these bizarre recurring dreams?

I had a horrible recurring dream with me choking on bubble gum for years and years and years. I looked it up on some dream sites online, and didn’t really appreciate what the interpretation meant, but it made me come to grips with some crappy things. If you take a look at other dream sites, it might help you put to rest whatever is causing the recurring dreams.

Once I kind of took what the interpretation meant to me, I stopped having the choking dream.

Hmm interesting. I have to say that I would love to clean my house in the middle of the night while sleepwalking…now that is MULTITASKING!
