Every morning (well, almost every morning), I spend 3.5 minutes putting on make-up: under eye concealer (very necessary!), some mineral powder, a bit of blush, eyeshadow, and some eye-liner and mascara. In the end, you can’t really tell I’m wearing make-up, but I do look less tired. Marc likes the natural look and I’m not bold enough to wear lots of make-up, so it all works out.
Except sometimes I wonder how I would look if I wore more make-up. For weddings or Christmas Eve, etc I’ve tried to do the “smokey-eye”, but it just looks like I have slightly more make-up on, and once my glasses are on you can hardly even tell; in the end I look like most women in their everyday make-up.
Tonight after supper I decided to see what I’d look like with eyeliner on my bottom lid. I’ve never done it before, but it can look really nice on some women. However, because I’m not used to eyeliner on the bottom lid, it felt uneven, so I threw more eyeliner on my top lid. Plus add in the fact that I have really dark circles under my eyes… and well… I’m just warning you: it looks horrible! (As I’m writing this, Luke keeps coming by saying, “Mommy, I thought you were going to put your eyes back the way they’re supposed to be.”) Plus, add in the fact that one of my eyes is a little more closed than the other (a la Melissa Joan Hart), and, ya, this video gives me no compliments.
But. You will see the kids’ expressions every time I took my glasses off. Every time. It was very loud. But very funny. Enjoy.
