Madeline has been watching the new Veggie Tales dvd, “The Wizard of Ha’s” for the past week. It’s fantastic. She watched it two times and started drawing elaborate pictures from the show — the wizard, Larry as the Tin Man, the Land of Ha’s. She brought me the pictures one by one. Then she brought me this one:
This is the back side of a (very fancy) picture of Larry and Bob. You see, since Madeline started playing on the Starfall website about a year ago, she’s been sounding out words. And she’s getting pretty good at it. But I started laughing as soon as I saw this. She said, “What?” I said, “What do you think that says (pointing to “BooB”)?” And she said, “BOOB!!!” and burst out laughing.
A few minutes later, excited in the knowledge that she could now spell “boob”, she came back with this picture:
That’s “Mommy” (spelled backwards), then a heart, her spelling of “boobies”, and what I can only assume is a portrait of her mother. I must say I’m quite flattered that she still put my breasts so high up on my body. There you have it. My daughter thinks I love boobies.
