I was there.  I held your hand and saw you close your eyes for the last time. And now I’m wondering what it will be like without you here.  To hug.  And grab my hand and sway it around.  Without all your words of love and confidence and hope.  I can’t even imagine it.

But now is your time to rest.  This is your time to rest.  And our time to go on.  And carry on all of the love and care that you’ve given us. Oh, Granny.  How loved you are.  I love you so much. Sleep in peace.
